Four years ago, on March 20th, 2003. While Iraq, for the first time, was being under attack by United States; this song merely created an extraordinary bond between two people ;) Hahaha...

Ever since I saw Meg Ryan and Nicolas Cage in City of Angels, I’ve been falling in love with this song. It screamed what Cage [as an angel] felt to Ryan, when he knew that he shouldn’t do it. Phew, and when Cage had sacrificed his angel status to become a human, Ryan died. That’s life, full with irony.

Gw menggandrungi band ini sejak single mereka yang judulnya Cochise. Dari pertama kali gw denger vokalnya si Chris Cornell, gw langsung jatuh cinta abis! Apalagi, rambutnya itu lho... Sumpah keren banget! Band ini emang pecahannya Soundgarden n Rage Against the Machine. Cuma kok lebih bagus waktu jadi Audioslave ya... Btw, waktu itu gw kelas 3 SMP, n lagi doyan-doyannya ikut temen-temen ngeband. Maklumlah, orang spesial gw pada saat itu adalah gitaris canggih—dewa gitar [halah..]. Hmm... Sejak dulu gw emang penggemar berat suaranya Eddie Vedder. Berat2, nge-rock, sexy gituuu. Pas gw pertama kali denger lagu ini, gw langsung bisa nebak kalo itu Pearl Jam-nya si Eddie. Lagu ini terlalu panjang sejarahnya, kenapa bisa jadi salah satu dari Eternal Anthems gw. Ceritanya cukup pahit, manisnya Cuma sedikit. Mengingat orang yang merekomendasikannya ternyata such a big fat liar [males deh...].

Sama seperti lagu di atas, lagu ini juga pernah lama gw lupakan. Since someone who used to remind me about the magnificent of his favorite band—Mr.Big—almost never talk to me [kok jadi curlong?], gw jadi jarang dengerin Mr.Big. Habis setiap kali denger suaranya Eric Martin atau petikan gitarnya Paul Gilbert, I’ll once again fall for that person [jijaaay abis lo, Chaaa!]. Akhirnya, setelah 4 tahun tidak ada komunikasi yang signifikan dengan oknum tersebut, gw pun seiring waktu jarang banget mendengarkan Mr.Big.

Pada suatu hari, Sasha ngajak gw nonton persembahan maba anak FT [tetangga itu lho...] dan ternyata di sana ada band senior yang maenin lagu ini. Sumpah, bikin crowd-nya nge-feel abis! Berasa lagi ada di konser rock—apalagi dengan anak-anak FT yang mayoritas isinya cowok-cowok. Segeralah gw kembali dibuat jauh cinta sama orang itu—eh salah—sama lagunya!!! [aduuh Ichaaaa!!!]
